Southern Hospitality in Georgia? Mariah Carey’s Atlanta-area mansion is on the market again after less than a year, asking $6.5 mιllιon, $850,000 more than she paid in an off-market sale in December 2021.

The “Queen of Christmas” briefly lived in the Colonial-style mansion but now wants to return to New York, according to the Wall Street Journal, which also said that a July burglary did not influence her decision to sell.

The home was built by architect Stephen Fuller in the early 1990s on a 4 acre hilltop tract of land in Sandy Springs, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. The almost 12,500 square foot red brick and columned building contains nine bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, magnificent crown molding and millwork, vaulted ceilings, and arched entrances.

Formerly leased by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the “All I Want for Christmas is You” singer outfitted the home with a pink dressing room and recording booth. Highlights include an elegant living room with a fireplace and French doors to the backyard, a formal dining room, a wood-paneled library, and a sleek gourmet kitchen with a wide eat-in island, Bosch, Sub-Zero, and ZLINE appliances, as well as a bright breakfast nook.

The luxury master suite upstairs boasts a fireplace surrounded by built-in bookcases, a private balcony, a morning bar, a walk-in closet, a dressing room with a beauty mirror and a salon chair, and a soaking tub. It also offers a dressing room with a breakfast bar and a salon chair.

The garden-laced grounds include a heated pool, entertainment pavilion with built-in BBQ, tennis court, and three-car garage. A wide daylight terrace level has a movie theater, mirrored gym, and fireside sitting room that connects to an outdoor entertaining/play area.

Carey, who was born in Huntington, New York, is 53 years old. She has a triplex in lower Manhattan as well as a 3-acre beachfront estate on Windermere Island in the Bahamas.
