Before releasing “Not All Heroes Wear Capes,” 2018’s #1 Billboard chart-topper from his debut studio album, Metro Boomin was a successful hip-hop artist. Leland Tyler Wayne, a Missouri native who is now 28 years old, began creating beats in high school and connected with hip-hop artists on Twitter. He rose to fame eight years ago after internet encounters with Future and Gucci Mane.

 

Since then, Metro has composed for Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Lana Del Rey. Migos’ “Bad and Boujee,” which was certified 4x platinum and topped the Billboard Hot 100, and Post Malone’s “Congratulations,” which was awarded Diamond at 10x platinum, are career highlights. “Svge Mode II,” a collaboration between 21 Svge and Svge released in 2020, topped the Billboard 200.

After his big break, the prolific hitmaker spent $4.9 mιllιon on an odd mansion. The flat-roofed, slightly squat house was built on spec by a local contractor and his wife in the guard-gated Bell Canyon neighborhood in the outermost regions of the San Fernando Valley.

The mansion is situated on more than an acre of hillside land, with “spectacular country and city views.” A long concrete road ascends and loops around the expansive motorcourt, which is in front of a four-car garage with tandem parking.

Bell Canyon’s precipitous slopes encompass the boxy home. The 6,200-square-foot residence features five bedrooms, six complete bathrooms, and one powder room.

The interiors were created with a minimalist aesthetic. Instead, the space is dominated by glass walls and expansive views, with oak flooring and white ceilings throughout.
