Kaley Cuoco put in a bid of $5.25 mιllιon, or a quarter million dollars more than the $5 mιllιon asking price, for Taylor Lautner’s ultra-modern house in the craggy, burnt-out foothills of Agoura Hills, California, roughly 40 miles west of downtown Los Angeles and 25 miles east of her birthplace of Camarillo.

 

As one of the highest-paid actors on television, who earned $1 mιllιon per episode during the final seasons of “The Big Bang Theory,” and fresh from the profitable sale of her Hidden Hills estate, where she and her soon-to-be-ex-husband, equestrian Karl Cook, made almost $4.5mιllιon more than the $11.75 mιllιon they paid just over a year ago, “The Flight Attendant” star can certainly afford the additional funds.

Lautner, who made $45 mιllιon from the five “Twilight” pictures, sold the roughly nine-acre property he bought two years earlier for $1.5 mιllιon. After a six-year break, the “Twilight Saga” star bought a hacienda-style mansion for $3.9 mιllιon down the road.

Lautner’s old house and Cucoco’s new house are a stunning, boxy, two-story concrete and glass display palace on a modest knoll with wrap-around mountain views. The 5,647-square-foot property features five bedrooms and four bathrooms, and Lautner acquired it in 2020.

A courtyard entry with a fire pit leads to a large great room with a dual-sided fireplace. In the kitchen, big picture windows frame abstract views of the harsh surrounding environment. The main-floor master suite features a spa-style bath, one of the guest bedrooms is a “unique one of a kind ‘speak easy’ lounge,” and the second-floor sports parlor has four wall-mounted TVs and a wet bar.

The house also has 12-foot ceilings, 10.5”-wide French oak floorboards, and huge walls of glass that vanish into the walls to seamlessly integrate indoor and outdoor living and entertaining spaces.

The planted spaces include an infinity-edge pool and Jacuzzi, a small patch of evergreen faux-grass, and an open-air cabana with a TV and kitchenette. A bocce ball court, outdoor shower, fire pits, and a BBQ are all available.

Lautner was represented by Jordan Cohen of Re/Max One, and Cuoco by her father, Gary Cuoco of Re/Max Gold Coast.

While Lautner still owns a ten-acre property in Castaic, about 40 miles northwest of Los Angeles, that he purchased for $2 mιllιon ten years ago, Cuoco, who claims she will never marry again, still owns a 40-acre horse ranch in a bucolic and isolated area of Ventura County.
