Discover the Lavish Property Empire of Man Utd Legend Wayne Rooney

The couple has opulent properties in Florida and the Caribbean in addition to their £20 million six-bedroom palatial home.

The 37-year-old Rooney departed Derby County last summer to manage DC United in Major League Soccer. He is currently getting ready for the 2023 campaign.

He has, however, been connected with a surprise return to England with Southampton, the lowest-placed team in the Premier League, which might see him stay there permanently.

Rooney lived in a council home while growing up in Liverpool, but he has since proven his real estate acumen by renting out a large villa in Barbados for £25,000 a week.

He also spent £450,000 on a separate home in Liverpool for his parents in 2007, as well as £320,000 on a waterfront condominium in Florida’s Sunshine State.

He and Coleen now have real estate across the globe.

Below, SunSport looks at the couple’s impressive real estate portfolio.

Get a $5 million mansion in Barbados.

The magnificent Barbados villa in the Rooneys’ housing estate is rented out for more than £25,000 per week during the peak season.

The five-bedroom house has a shared golf course, a movie room, an infinity pool, and pictures of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe on the walls.

Rio Ferdinand, a former colleague of Roo’s at Manchester United, resides in the upscale Jasmine Ridge villa on the island.

Boxer Joe Calzaghe and motorcycle racer Carl Fogarty are among the homeowners.

Over the years, Manchester’s wealthy and famous have made the opulent Bajan resort so popular that locals have given it the name Northern Quarter.

The Manchester Evening News reported that the Rooneys paid £5 million for the villa in 2010, but that they had previously rented it out as a vacation house.

It will cost roughly £10,000 for United supporters to stay at the Royal Westmoreland mansion over the offseason if they want to live like Wayne.

High season guests may be required to fork over up to £25,410 a week.

The Rooneys may have already made more than £5 million from affluent visitors based on their rental history.

Even though renting was undoubtedly impacted by the pandemic, it won’t be long before they return to the price they paid for it a decade ago.

Florida apartment for £300,000

It seems that not all of Wayne and Coleen’s purchases have been as successful as their Barbados purchase.

A luxurious waterfront apartment at Harbor Pointe in Port Charlotte, Florida, cost the couple about £320,000 in 2007, but property values later fell.

According to the Daily Mail, the apartment was purchased through Your Place Abroad, whose previous clientele have included cricketer Andrew Flintoff and footballer Michael Owen.

The business has since declared bankruptcy.

Public records show that Rooney has a three-bedroom unit with a balcony and more than 1,750 square feet of living space in the riverside resort.

A fitness center and an in-ground heated pool are also included, along with a master bedroom with a study and a “oversized walk-in closet.”

The large condo is reportedly currently rented out.

Following the Rooneys’ purchase, local real estate values fell precipitously, with some homes losing more than £150,000 of their value.

Washington Castle

Before they became the target of an attempted burglary, the Rooney family had been contently residing in their £6 million home in Prestbury, Cheshire, for more than ten years.

While Wayne was playing in a testimonial match in August 2016, a former serviceman attempted to break in, which caused Coleen to worry about the security of her kids.

The Rooneys’ residence, dubbed “Waynesor Castle,” reportedly featured six en-suite bedrooms, a theater, a Jacuzzi, and a swimming pool.

Beautiful Maryland residence

The Rooneys were supposed to be moving into a spectacular £12 million Washington, DC mansion in 2018 after Wayne joined DC United, where he is currently the head coach.

The Wesley Heights residence had a wine cellar, a home gym, an outdoor pool, a play area, and even a sizable movie screen.

The family has reportedly moved to Maryland, according to further reports. The distance between them and the American capital was estimated to be 50 minutes by car.

According to a source close to Coleen, “They live in Maryland, which is quiet, so if they do go out, it’s bowling or the movies with the kids.”

They continued, “Their mansion is enormous and gorgeous.

New Cheshire house worth £20 million

The Rooneys’ new house is located in Cheshire on a 40-acre parcel of property.

The £20 million estate has a number of structures, stables, two artificial lakes for fishing, and an orangery.

But as we noted, the opulent new house’s exterior has been compared to a Travelodge and even a Morrisons supermarket.

One person wrote online, “Looks like my neighborhood Morrisons supermarket.” For that, how about £20 million?

Surely that is a brand-new Tesco building…? another said. While someone else said, “More of a Morrisons, I’d say.”

The home contains an underground tunnel that leads to a six-car garage, a TV room, a snooker room, a bar, a wine store, a cinema, a gym, and a swimming pool.

Even two different lifts, one for the family and one for the visitors, can be there.

Wayne, a former England striker, is believed to have asked for a panic room in his house because he worries that another burglary attempt will target his family.
